One of my favorite hobbies is cooking. Lately I don’t feel like I’ve been cooking often enough but tonight I was able to whip up a quick and healthy meal for my husband and I.
Salmon has been a go to for me for a number of years. There’s so many ways to create a delicious meal when working with salmon and tonight didn’t disappoint. While searching for recipes I stumbled upon Cafe Delites honey, garlic butter salmon that I couldn’t resist trying. I mean, HONEY, BUTTER, GARLIC…what’s not to like?
Ingredients
• 1/4 cup butter
• 1/3 cup honey
• 4 large cloves garlic , crushed
• 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (juice of 1/2 a lemon)
• 3 salmon fillets (thawed)
• Sea salt , to taste
• Cracked pepper , to taste (optional)
Preparation was super simple.
First I defrosted three salmon fillets and preheated the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once de-thawed, I lined a baking sheet with two layers of aluminum foil and layered the fillets on top of the foil.
Then I mixed the garlic, honey, butter in a small pot and let the ingredients combine over low heat. Once the sauce reaches a low boil, remove from heat and pour over fillets. Spread over fish with a silicone brush.
Once the oven is preheated, place fish on middle rack and bake for 15-18 minutes.
For this meal, I paired the salmon with a very simple salad. I plated spring mix with a sprinkling of sesame seeds, walnuts, and drizzling of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
